Nova Scotia Increases Minimum Wage Rate
As of October, 1, 2011 the minimum wage rate in Nova Scotia increases to $10.00 per hour from $9.65. There is also a new rate for inexperienced workers going from $9.15 to $9.50 per hour. Do you know which rate to use?

Do you have a computer, internet and email usage policy?
If your employees have access to your company's computers, email, and/or the internet, it is in your best interest to have a clear and concise computer-use policy. This should state that an employee does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy over any data found on the employer's computer or network. Ensure that all employees receive this policy and acknowledge their receipt.
